A young, Latin-American ballerina is edged out by her friends as she trains for an important audition. The film looks at some of the difficulties of growing up as a Latin-American woman in Canadian society as she pursues a career in the arts.

Ascension (2004)

An abstract film composed of black leader and stereo soundtrack exploring the experience of leaving the Earthly realm behind for unknown destination. Inspired by religious texts detailing the ascension of the soul to heaven and depictions of transcendence in cinema, specifically in “Solaris” and “2001: A Space Odyssey.” It was an effort to combine my two areas of studies, film production (major) and comparative religion (minor).
